What a great adventure , enhanced by renting a motorhome from Kiwi Motorhomes. Only turned the windscreen wipers on a few times ( instead of blinkers) before I felt right at home with the vehicle (Muscles). The freedom to know that you dont need to book ahead for accommodation certainly outweighs the car/hotel option. Kiwi Motorhomes is not impersonal like some of the big players. But they are big enough to ensure you are backed up if you have any issues. We certainly recommend renting from Leon and Varnier ( Kiwi Motorhomes). Neil and Julie (Sydney). PS vehicles have names , but neither name or company are tagged on the vehicle so you blend in like a kiwi!

We had an amazing 8 days, half of which we spent in the Northland and then went to Rotorua. Varnier, Leon and Caleb were excellent to work with and made sure we had all the accomodations of home. They gave us great instructions and made sure we were prepared for our journey. I would absolutely recommend this company for everyone looking for adventure with all the comforts of home. Thank you.

We are so happy that we chose Kiwi Motorhomes for our month-long adventure in New Zealand! From the start, the process was easy. The team is incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making sure your experience goes well. As a family-owned business, they make you feel at home and it’s clear they take pride in what they do.

We traveled in December 2024 for the Ironman 70.3 race and then spent the next few weeks exploring (took the van on the ferry and dropped it off in Queenstown, also an easy process). The van itself was fantastic — comfortable, with plenty of storage, and much easier to drive than we expected. It had everything we could need, plus some thoughtful extras that made our trip even better.

What really stood out to us, though, was the customer service. The team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for both our van and my parents' van (they rented with Kiwi as well). Not only did they provide us with helpful tips about the race (since Leon is an experienced triathlete), but whenever we had a question or small issue, they responded quickly — no long forms or endless back-and-forth like other companies require. They supported us the entire way.

If we’re lucky enough to return to New Zealand, there’s no doubt we’ll be booking with Kiwi Motorhomes again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a seamless, comfortable, and memorable campervan experience!
